Rock Rose Gin is one of the finest gins ever, great for gin lovers. I first tried this gin last year, and it’s one of the best gins that I’ve ever had. The gin is fresh, zesty yet berryful with a long smooth finish and it comes in a gorgeous ceramic bottle. Think about all the cocktails that you will be making with this gin this summer!
RRP is £34 from 70cl 41.5% ABV.
Holy Grass Vodka is handcrafted at the same distillery as Rock Rose Gin; Dunnet Bay Distillery. It’s a delicate and fresh vodka with a creamy smooth finish, the spirit is also infused with a carefully crafted vapour of highland apples and apple juice to complement the sweetness of the Holy grass. This vodka is truly unique, and is perfect to make refreshing cocktails with.
RRP is £35 from 70cl 41.5% ABV.
Ophir Oriental Spiced Gin is a multi award winning gin. It’s a unique style of London Dry Gin, created using exotic botanicals, herbs and spices. It’s also the world’s fastest growing premium gin. The heritage of this gin is rooted in the ancient spice route, when merchants used to travel thousands of miles trading exotic spices and botanicals. Ophir’s (pronounced O-Peer) handpicked botanicals epitomise the exotic intensity of the Orient, with spicy cubeb berries from Indonesia, cardamom and black pepper from Indian and coriander from Morocco. I like to have this gin with tonic, garnished with orange.
Nose: A rich oriental spiced gin, with a smooth perfume and sharp bursts of citrus. Key notes of cumin and cardamom provide a warm earthy background balanced with the grapefruit peel
Taste: Soft camphor, some sweetness and oriental spices create warm mouth feel that lingers but does not increase intensity.
Finish: Long length with soft black pepper and spice.
RRP is £23 from 70cl 40% ABV.
Durham Gin is a unique recipe of ten botanicals including the classics like juniper and angelica. As well as some unique botanicals such as celery seed, elderflower, and pink peppercorns. This gin is made with pure spring water that flows near Durham city, and final component of this gin is the pure grain spirit.
Nose: Juniper with warm, spicy pink peppercorns and soft citrus notes from dried orange and lemon peel.
Taste: A nice warm savoury combination of pink peppercorns and celery seed rounded by a mix of traditional gin flavours like Angelica and coriander, with late hints of cardamom.
Finish: Long, smooth and dry, with a subtle hint of celery and elderflower.
RRP is £27.50 from 70cl 40% ABV.
Durham Strawberry & Pink Pepper Liqueur This new liqueur combines Durham gin with fresh pressed strawberry juice and pink pepper. The result is this deliciously fruity and warm liqueur. It’s great to serve it with your favourite mixer, with Prosecco or simply over ice.
RRP is £20 from 70cl 20% ABV.
Cazcabel Tequila Blanco is my all time favourite tequila! It’s made with sun-baked agave. The taste is fresh and crisp, and you could taste the earthy agave. There are two different variations of this tequila, blanco and honey. The honey tequila is absolutely beautiful if you like sweeter spirits.
Nose: Spicy, slight hint of citrus and plenty of earthy agave.
Taste: Fresh, crisp with a rustic hit of earthy agave.
Finish: Crisp and dry with a touch of black pepper.
RRP is £24.99 from 70cl 38% ABV.
A great non-alcoholic option is James White Apple Juices these juices make the perfect alternative to wine. Another non-alcoholic alternative is Uncle Conrnelius range from the same brand. They offer a great range of refreshers, such as lemon refresher, ginger refresher and rhubarb refresher. These are perfect for picnics, barbecues or any hot summer day when you feel like having a refreshing drink!
RRP is £15 for 6 x 75cl
ALFRESCO DRINKING AND EATING GUIDE PRODUCTS
Portmeirion is a British beautiful tableware brand that (as you may have guessed) originated from Portmeirion in Wales in 1960. It was designed by the celebrated designer Susan Williams-Ellis, she designed the Botanic Garden collection; a delightful floral motifs with a signature leaf border set.
Portmeirion Botanic Garden is my favourite Portmeirion tableware collection, it is also the most recognised collection in British Ceramics. It was designed for casual dining, and makes everyday occasions special, like an enjoyable Sunday breakfast with the family, and afternoon tea and catch up with friends.
Each piece is very unique, and is made with so much attention and love and features a different design from the other. When these pieces are made, they are passed through 22 pairs of loving hands before being ready for a home.
I own a Botanic Garden afternoon tea set, that consists of 6 8-inch plate set, 6 teacups with sauces, a beautiful tea pot, a cream jug, a covered sugar bowl, cake slice and a set of 6 pastry forks. It is currently my favourite tableware set from all the sets that I own, and I’ve already used it 3 times in the past 2 weeks. I still can’t get over how pretty and unique each piece is.

Morsø is a Danish brand that was established in 1853. It offers a great range of Nordic, stylish, tasteful and durable cookware. The cast iron cookware is perfect for extracting more flavours for the dishes that you’re cooking. I’ve been testing out the rustic and beautiful casserole dish over the past 2 weeks, and I’m really impressed by the high quality. Yes it’s heavy and fragile, so it must be used with care. But it really is a beautiful pot, such a treat for the eyes and the taste buds.
The casserole dish is perfect for simmering dishes, quick pasta dishes, making soups, and even roasting a whole chicken. The best thing about this casserole dish is that it can keep the food warm for a very long time. The 3,1 litre casserole dish is suitable when cooking for 4 people, it comes with an elegant handle made from satin polished steel and it’s suitable for all hob types including induction, ovens and grills. RRP £139
Morsø also offer a great range of pans and cocottes, as well as outdoor ovens, grills and indoor heating. For more information, visit their website.
LSA International is a handmade glass & glassware brand. They make the most stunning glassware including champagne flutes, wine glasses, vases, dining ware and much more. I got these DECO Champagne flutes. It’s an assorted set of 8 champagne flutes embellished with bold metallic designs. I love the different golden pattern on each flute, they are so elegant and are perfect for parties RRP £75.
I also got fluted PEARL wine glasses that come in a set of 4. I adore the handprinted pearl glass, these glasses are so distinctive and gorgeous and I’m sure that I will be using them a lot throughout this summer RRP £45. LSA International make very gorgeous pieces of very high quality, when I go on their website I always love everything that I see! So make sure to pop over to their website, to get gorgeous stuff for your outdoor parties this year.
I also received a stunning wine chiller from The Garden Furniture Centre, and since we already had a few summer gatherings for my friends this year I was able to show it off to my guests last weekend! It’s a lovely handmade wine chiller that can fit up to 4 bottles of wine at once. This colourful and cheerful wine chiller is made from recycled shipping drums and other upcycled metals, and it’s finished with colourful tough lacquer paint applied by hand. So it’s not only beautiful and handy but it’s also environment friendly. My Mum absolutely fell in love with this wine chiller when I first received it, she said that it’s a very unique item and she loved the shape of it as it sort of looks like a vase!
It is quite big as it can fit up to 4 bottles, the dimensions are:
